Commissions

I often work to commission. This bespoke process sources items from a customer’s own treasures or through the vintage and antique finds in a large collection I hold.

It is a real pleasure to work in this way as it ensures that the customer is part of design decisions. These can be done at a studio visit (if Brighton is a convenient for you) or through conversations and image sharing online to explore the materials, details and scale of the project.

Whilst I am happy to discuss any commission requests I find it works best if clients are interested in the way I work and my general style to achieve the best results.

Commissions

Working with the client through messages and images…refining variations and options until we found the right balance
Gifts for 2 nieces. They came along to my studio and selected the pieces they wanted to make into these rings
An example of a my design for repurposed antique gold and precious stone lapel pins. I worked with the client on the proportions and sourced the element for them
A secret commission for a birthday that proved slightly tricky to keep secret but we did it! An antique engraved seal set in sterling silver
A very special commission – The bells mean that the client’s dog, who is losing her sight, knows where she is all times
Commission using the client’s own treasures in a custom silver setting. I added a seed pearl for balance
A really special piece for a regular client – the process of choosing the elements from my collection was a real joy
I loved making this piece – a glass mid century button set in silver to add to the client’s collection of my work
This client was given one of my gift vouchers from her friends for her birthday. She came and visited my studio to find the perfect piece. Set in gold to lift the centre piece beautifully
I loved making this piece for my cousin. The beautiful antique enamel and turquoise button was waiting for the right person. It worked so well set in gold on a simple gold band
Heirloom pieces added to heavy chain for a contemporary re-interpretation – we also added some vintage shell chain and a tiny ship for good measure and balance
This piece was commissioned as a gift for a dancer who had performed at the tower ballroom Blackpool. So much thought and individuality – I loved working on it.
This domed-back treasure looked perfect on this long gold chain – commissioned by a father for a daughter’s big birthday
Heirloom gold cufflinks, inherited from her late father, this client now has these wearable pieces. It’s a real pleasure being part of the process
A commission made for a special birthday – signet style silver ring with a number 7 cut from an antique ruler and inlaid into the ring
A section of vintage brass ruler re-imagined as a Keyring for a 21st birthday
Mismatched earrings, incorporating my customer’s own vintage poodle element. On vintage hoops and paired with vintage chain
